Is Apple Really That Deep
Do you ever wonder why people keep purchasing Apple product? Do you ever just think that it’s too expensive and not worth the amount paid for it? Well, it’s certainly something I wonder yet continue to do. In my eyes, Apple is overpriced by has a consistent brand loyalty and anyone would do what is necessary to purchase the best of the best. That’s exactly what occurred with my friend, Robert.
Robert is a die hard Apple fan. He can argue down multiple perks of Apple products over any other product out there as if he were an associate for the company. Whenever there is a new Apple product he is on, regardless of the price. The thing is, Robert doesn’t have a consistent income coming in (broke college student like the majority), yet he somehow manages to scoff up the close to $900 to purchase a new iPhone. Is it honestly that dire? Does Apple really have us craving to have the newest of items?
Robert had gone above and beyond to buy the product. He sold a few items at home, helped babysit and helped neighbors move, all so he can come up with enough to get the IPhone. I understand if you’re on the wealthier side to make it immediate to buy it but for us who don’t exactly have it like that, why do we go above and beyond to have a newer item when our current items work fine? I believe that Apple is really smart in regards to their consumers. They kill the game with innovation and new technology so that they can make the price practically any price and still get a consistent amount of people to purchase it. Our generation like to showcase newer items and feel left out if we do not have the newest of the new or the best of the best and I know Apple understands.
According to Quora.com, the reasons people purchase Apple products regardless if they have the budget for it or that is over priced, varies. A lot of people believe they are getting their monies worth compared to competing brands. The loyalty that we have to apple (regardless of the risk of the product easily breaking or the charger giving out on us after the newer products come out), usually drives us to continue to spend more and more on these products. Stated on the site above, a commenter compared Apple products to international flights, “while first class might not be twice as good as business class, it is the best thing available. And when you afford the best thing available, even if it’s not as much better than the second-best than the price suggests, you get the best thing available.”
Apple is honestly running the game and anyone saying they are not worth the price are ill-informed. In regards to technology and innovation there is no one that is standing in their way. In 2016 85.8 million people in the U.S. owned iPhones. You can tell that if Robert is going out his way to assure that he has an Apple product. Just by this story, you know that Apple is killing the game and is going to continue to hold an influence over us for some time to come! Keywords:
